Jackson Square
This mural reimagines the evolving perception of Jackson Square, contrasting its industrial exterior with the vibrant diversity that thrives within. The outer portrait is covered in industrial piping, a nod to Hamilton's manufacturing roots and an iconic sight for those driving over the Burlington Bridge. This exterior shell sheds its perception as it fragments, revealing a vivid, colourful portrait beneath — a metaphor for the hidden beauty and dynamic spirit of Hamilton. Spanning four wood panels, the mural took a summer to complete, with weekly visits to the mall for on-site work. It now proudly stands at Jackson Square, celebrating the resilience and diversity of the community it represents.
